An expansion and renovation of the ambulatory surgery center in Flowood, adding operating rooms, sterilization areas, support facilities, and parking. Completed with architectural firm Canizaro Cawthon Davis.

A 3,500-square-foot facility at 320 West Jackson Street in Ridgeland, configured for a pediatric medical practice with eight examination rooms, a laboratory, waiting areas, reception, and offices.

Masonry construction for a new restaurant in Ridgeland, combining cast stone and brick. Interior work includes masonry walls and a series of brick arches.

Eye Care Professionals
A satellite medical office for Eye Care Professionals. This new construction project is located on Belle Meade Pointe in Flowood, MS. The facility includes exam rooms and clinic space along with a retail Eye Bar for optical resources. This project received a Gold Merit Award from ABC Mississippi in 2021.

Mississippi Reproductive Medicine
Renovation of an existing building at 2500 Lakeland Drive in Flowood for a medical clinic and laboratory, including upgraded mechanical and electrical systems. The project received a 2021 ABC Mississippi Silver Merit Award.

William K. Purks YMCA Center
The exterior of this expansion & renovation project consists of the use of masonry products in both brick and high-density CMU blocks. The face brick is a Mobile Blend from Cherokee Brick and the split-face CMU blocks are from Nettleton Concrete Masonry Products. Located at 267 YMCA Place in Vicksburg, MS, the masonry was completed in just 4 months. The 20,669 square feet of new construction created a challenge of manufacturing a brick to blend with the existing material of the building.

Sulphur Springs Park
Construction across approximately five acres, including a 6,325-square-foot health center, a 2,235-square-foot open-air pavilion with heavy timber trusses, and restroom facilities. Completed in 2020 and recognized with an ABC Mississippi Merit Award.

Clinton Junior High – Additions and Renovations
A full school renovation with new classroom HVAC, LED lighting, ceilings, windows, and interior finishes. Exterior work includes sidewalks, masonry columns, fencing, and a new 500-square-foot entrance foyer. Completed in 2020 and recognized with an ABC Mississippi Merit Award.

A 23,172-square-foot steel warehouse with two connecting corridors to the existing manufacturing facility and stormwater retention improvements. Completed in 2020 and recognized with an ABC Mississippi Merit Award.

The First Bank / Masonry
The exterior facade of this project consists of the use of masonry products in both brick and large High-density concrete masonry units. The face brick chosen were a Boral Regiment Modular and the High-density concrete masonry units were of North Field Cordova Stone and consists of ground face and chisel face textures. The architectural requirements designed for this project located in Madison, Mississippi, highlighted corbels, pilasters, texture changes, coursing, and detailing that is of a complexity not commonly seen in modern construction practices. Benson provided both general and masonry contracting on the two-story, 48,000 square feet medical facility for Capital Ortho. Included at the facility is a medical clinic, physical therapy, radiology, administrative offices and a state-of-the-art four-room ambulatory surgical center.

GI Associates | Flowood
GI Associates and Endoscopy in Flowood, Mississippi, a premier gastroenterology facility in the southeast occupies an 88,000 square foot structure on Lakeland drive. The two story steel structure utilized helico piling systems to properly distribute its weight. Special considerations were made for HVAC and electrical to meet the requirements of the state health department in providing a safe environment for the patients served along with a facility for the staff, patients and physicians.

Detailed masonry construction for the Primos restaurant in Madison, with architectural masonry work selected to reflect the restaurant’s established brand.

Baptist Health Clinic
Project included a free standing medical clinic with 5,000 square feet for physicians offices, clinic rooms, radiology, blood lab and diagnostic services. Once completed the facility accommodated two family practice physicians and provided care during weekdays and after hour services. First medical facility family practice for Baptist Health Services in Reservoir area.

Jackson Prep Clocktower
The Jackson Prep Clocktower was a general contracting & masonry construction project that included design build and special attention to detailed masonry work using a combination of stone and brick. The owner desired an area for gathering along with transitioning between several structures and the clock tower was the perfect icon for this application.

Construction of a new prototype restaurant in Flowood, developed with Brumfield and Associates architects. This was one of several Mazzio’s restaurants built by Benson.

Completed in 1996, this facility combines a conference center with a museum celebrating Mississippi athletes. It includes memorabilia displays, interactive exhibits, video areas, and a highlight kiosk.
